And so it begins...

it feels like seriously last week when I saw this sight....coming home...but now my superhero husband is off saving the world again. Man I love him, and that's why these times are so hard. I was created to survive life with him...but now I have to get along without him for a little while. It will be okay...I just have to make it through these first few days....

And so it goes...

Okay, so, I said earlier today I would post later...it's later.





Tuesday Derek and I found out that we're going to have a baby!!! :) Our first anniversary hasn't even come yet....but here we are! Now mind you, I'm only 5 (technically 3) weeks along, but since Derek will be leaving soon, we decided to go ahead and tell people. That and I'm fully confident that I'm going to have a wonderful full term pregnancy (as long as someone gets me some info on what I shouldn't be eating! lol). We are so excited, but the thing we were most excited for was to hear our parents reaction. Derek's sister Kelly is going to have her first child any week now so Derek's parents are pretty excited with her, so when they found out about us, I think they were a little "oh no, not again-ish" but VERY excited still! I couldn't see their faces when they opened our package, but I did get to see my parents! :) My wonderful sister who helped me plot and orchestrate the whole surprise went over to their house, spun a web of lies, risked her place in heaven for me, and got pictures!!! What a wonderful day!

It takes her a while, but she gets there. Apparently at this point she'd already seen the bibs that said"I love grandma" and "i love grandpa"

So, it's been a really exciting night in the Goebel home. We talked to both sets of parents, Derek's brother and sister, and our entire bible study, mostly! It's so fun to tell people when you're expecting a child! Words can't describe it. And to see the looks on my parents face just makes it that much more amazing! :) I can't wait to update you on all the goings on as the pregnancy progresses!!

Just for the record...I'm avoiding blogging these days...but I'll blog again soon! :) I haven't forgotten, just trying to keep the lips zipped! :)

The New Look

So I've been informed by 2 dear friends today (Pam and Allie, ahem) that I suck at blogging, and yes, I do. The thing is, my laptop busted and I hate this stupid desktop so I spend minimal time on it usually. I guess it's a good thing the laptops gone because I don't spend as much time on my butt doing absolutely nothing these days! :) Anyhow, so today I got an amazing haircut that I love. Let me give a shout out to Christen at Shabangs...yeah, she's awesome!

I don't know if you can tell or not but I got it colored a little to. It's not drastic, but I love it! Can I just say that I've never liked my hair as much as I do right now?!

Well, there is more that I could say, but I think I'll save that for another day....maybe it won't be so long between posts this time! :)
