Due to recent events (that's I'm sure most of you survived along with me!) I have something to blog about!
In the past tropical storms have been fun for me! I remember years ago playing in huge yellow rain coats with my sister in law, Cindy, in all the wind and rain. We even got out floats to try and float down our barely flooded streets! What fun times! So yesterday I was in the same mindset, no big deal, its just a little storm, nothing to worry about....and then my mom left! Now I'm glad she went home, she needed to be there, but I never knew how scary those things could be when it's dark and your husband isn't around! Anyhow, not much damage was done....except for my beautiful Bradford Pear...she is no more...
Unbelievable how I loved that that tree made my house look cute, homey, welcoming....now when Derek gets home he won't know what to think! I'm pretty sad about the loss...but I'll get over it!

Bradford Pears stink. Now you can plant a non-stinky tree that you can enjoy while not holding your nose in the spring time! :-D

mine never smelled bad though...not that I noticed anyhow! :( thanks for the condolences (is that how you spell that?)
