I don't know how to title this but I just wanted to share something that God placed on my heart.

At this point in our lives Derek and I aren't able, or really don't feel called to go on all these extravagant mission trips to cool far-off places. Sometimes I find myself envious of those that are. Today I was reading a letter from a friend who IS able to do these trips, and abundantly so! He's involved in an organization that is doing AMAZING things for the kingdom. In the end he summarizes that over the time that he was overseas the group that he was with had 10 different teams, 80 chances in 40 locations to share Christ. As a result there were 6000 salvations and 21 new churches started. PRAISE GOD! Just as my selfish heart began to become saddened in thinking "God, why can't you use me that way? Why can't I be involved in something so incredible?!" Then He reminded me that I am. I was involved! I was a part of those 6000 salvations because this is a missionary that Derek and I not only support prayerfully, we support him monetarily. I assure you that it is a TINY portion of what it takes to send people, but it's a part of what it takes! Thank you God for allowing us to be a part of your work, even when we can't GO we can SEND. And thank you for those that can willingly go on our behalf!

All that to say, are you supporting things that you believe in? Are you a part of the spread of the gospel when you can't be there yourself? If you're not, please find someone, or a group that you TRULY believe in and if you can't give your time, give your money. Had it not been for my friend and this amazing project these people may have never been given the opportunity to accept Christ.
