A long overdue update

We've introduced the potty, it's not full fledged potty training, but he knows what to do!

I don't update this thing nearly enough, but since my mother and father in law (Hi you 2!) no longer have their facebook accounts I figured I should probably update more often, especially with pictures! I know you guys only check up on me for those anyhow! :)

So, update number one is for me mainly. I'm really excited about the things that are going on in mine and Derek's lives! We've both recently registered for our very first 5k! I'm not a runner and have never claimed to be, but my trainer April and I have started my training to get me ready to go on December 4th. So far it's slow going since my shins are not responding so well. But I've learned that Advil and ice are the way to get them back up to par. So tomorrow I go in 45 minutes before my official training session begins to get my running out of the way. Its getting a little better each day. Hopefully I'll be ready by December. If not the goal is to run the Shamrock 8k in March.

Alright, now for the update that I know you really want to hear about. Wesley is doing amazingly well! He's such a great kid! He'll be 19 months in 2 days and I just can't believe it!

We went to a festival over the weekend and to dinner with Adam and Jessica Palmer and Wesley had so much fun:

That is until he fell and got one of these:

But gosh, even despite that fat lip (that's still pretty swollen even today!) he did great. We went to the Palmer's for dinner and he played with Addison and her friends well. They colored with him and he danced with them, it was love I tell you! :)

Alright, that's it for this update but I have many many more photos to post and I'll try to get to that tomorrow. And at some point I'll have a link for everyone to see all of our family photos we took over the weekend. I haven't gotten them yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I do! Hopefully soon!

Also I want to let you know about the new traditions we're starting as a family for Christmas this year. It's going to be fun! And hopefully as kiddos get older it will really sink in with them! We'll see!
